REVIEW: TheBodyShop Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask

22:09

Hey guys! I am back with another review!

*NOT A SPONSORED POST*

I rarely do skincare review mainly because I believe that different product works differently on everyone.

My skin type: Dry cheek, Normal on the rest of the face

Today I am going to share my thoughts on this matcha mask. Can you believe that this is actually my second tub?!

I tried this mask a few years ago and now I am coming back for this mask.

I really like this mask not only because of the refreshing scent but also because of its skin clearing ability!

Let's take a look at their claims.

Enriched with matcha green tea from Kakegawa, Japan, dandelion extract and soul-soothing Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico, our indulgently creamy, 100% vegan masking formula deeply purifies, gently exfoliates and liberates your skin from the weekly build-up of city pollutants and everyday impurities.
  • Helps remove pollutants and impurities
  • Reveals radiant, younger-looking skin
  • Enriched with matcha green tea from Japan and organic Community Trade aloe vera from Mexico
  • 100% vegan
  • 91% of women agreed pollution felt removed from their skin (based on trial results from 103 women)
  • Formulated without silicones, mineral oil or paraffins

I personally like the cooling effect a lot. It goes onto the face creamy and is very cooling. It might be a little bit stingy at first but the stinging sensation will go away after awhile.

Not to mentioned that the scent is very calming and refreshing. My skin definitely feels cleaner and refreshed after using this mask.

Let's take a look at its texture.

As you can see from the tub, the texture is very creamy. It applies smoothly onto the skin which makes the application fast enough.

The bits are natural ingredients in the mask which helps to gently exfoliate the skin.

My skin gets dirty and clogged up easily. Even if I stay indoor for a whole week without applying makeup, I would get close comedones on my cheek and chins.

(Close comedones are those white bumps that appear on your skin)

You might risk yourself getting new scar if you squeeze on them.

The ingredients are mostly for skin clearing and calming which is good for skin that are easily inflammed.

Especially since I started working in the office, my skin is dryer than before. This mask does not make me peel or feel dehydrated. Instead, my skin felt clean and soft. (That is why I bought the second tub)

It is also a vegan formula which means that it is also cruelty free. So yay for that!

Does it live up to its claim? YES

Will I ever repurchase it? YES YES YES

Price range? Hmmm....It's RM 97.00

Verdict:
Clearing ability: 4.5/5 (you have to use at least twice a week and give it some time)

Soothing effect: 3/5 (If you are really sensitive you might not like the stingy sensation)

Hydration: 4/5  (considering that my cheeks are dry and they don't peel after application)

Exfoliating: 3.5/5 (The chunks are all natural ingredients and are of different sizes)

That's all for today~

I guess I'll talk with you guys next time!

Bye!
